1ST NATIONAL EDUCATION SUMMIT

We are pleased to invite you to attend the OGTAN 1st National Education Summit.

This invitation-only event is a gathering of hundreds of “thoughtful and educated lecturers, Vice chancellor and industry professional” all over the country who share a common interest in practical solutions for sustainable development through education. We will focus exclusively on one of the most important development challenges of our time: Sustaining Local Content Development through Quality Education and Training; Prospects for Industry and Academia Collaboration Chaired by Dr Gen. Yakubu Gowon GCFR. Also speaking at the event are notable and highly esteemed dignitaries; Mallam Adamu Adamu, Honorable Minister for Education, Hon. Boakye Agyarko, Minister of Energy and Petroleum Resources GHANA, Engr. Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary NCDMB just to mention a few.

Our vision is ambitious, which is nothing less than to find the way forward towards Local content development and growth through Education and Training. The event will take place at the Convention Centre Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on 16th of April 2018.

The Education Summit will be the first major Education Summit event in OGTAN organized in collaboration with the IOCs and Head Educational Bodies. Our partners include the Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board(NCDMB) and the Petroleum Trust and Development Fund (PTDF) and many other organizations. Additionally, the event will feature leading companies, Academic Institutions, Training Bodies and IOCS in Nigeria.

 

Here are a few of what you should expect as an attendee of the Summit:

 

•        Active participation. You will be actively engaged as a full participant throughout the entire event. Unlike typical events where most attendees are passive listeners, your active participation at the OGTAN Education Summit matters to the overall outcome of the event.

•        Open new vistas. Expand networks, meet partners, open markets, and learn from people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. You will learn about more effective ways to build Local Content Development in Nigeria, based on real-life examples of how others have succeeded and/or failed in other places.

•        Feedback Forum. You will participate in feedback forums where questions gathered all through the course of the event would be answered with a live feedback panel comprised of leading global development funders.
