This training approval can be sought under the OGTAN the Awarding Body Protocol only for training programs that have been accredited by the NBTE/NCDMB Synergy for development of National Occupational Standards. Such programs would also have been made fully public under the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) for closing skills gaps in the oil and gas industry.

Applicants for approval to this program must be OGTAN members who already possess skills, infrastructure, and proven experience for offering these trainings, or have demonstrated capability and willingness to undergo an audit to be qualified for offering such courses, despite not having any previous experience.

Note that only National Occupational Standards for the oil and gas industry published on the NBTE and/or NCDMB websites can be applied for.
