The Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN) is pleased to announce its collaborative initiative with the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF) as the Chairman of the Education and Training Sub-Working Group (SWG). Together, they embark on a groundbreaking project to commence the development of National Occupational Standards for the oil and gas industry.
This pioneering effort is undertaken in strategic partnership with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The collaboration aims to establish comprehensive and internationally recognized standards for occupations within the oil and gas sector, ensuring alignment with global best practices.
As the Chairman of the Education and Training SWG, OGTAN will leverage its expertise and industry knowledge to guide the development process. The initiative aligns with OGTAN’s commitment to advancing education, training, and professional development within the oil and gas industry.
The collaboration represents a significant milestone in fostering synergy between key stakeholders, as NCCF, OGTAN, NCDMB, and NBTE work collectively to set benchmarks that will enhance the quality and relevance of training programs in the industry. The National Occupational Standards will serve as a benchmark for skills, knowledge, and competencies required for various roles within the oil and gas value chain.
This initiative underscores OGTAN’s dedication to promoting the highest standards in education and training, ultimately contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of the Nigerian oil and gas sector.
