Recently, OGTAN had the honor of visiting the newly appointed Executive Secretary of PTDF, Ahmed Galadima Aminu. Led by President Mazi Sam Onyechi, our delegation had the opportunity to introduce our esteemed leadership team and discuss pivotal initiatives aimed at advancing skills development within Nigeria’s energy sector.

During the visit, our National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Dapo Omolade eloquently presented the OGTAN 5 new policy pillars, emphasizing our commitment to enhancing competence-based training and certification. Additionally, insights were shared on our innovative Body of Knowledge (BOK) program, which encompasses various facets beyond certification services, all aimed at empowering professionals with industry-relevant expertise.

The PTDF-OGTAN relationship is deeply rooted, akin to that between OGTAN and our Mother Parastatal, NCDMB. While NCDMB serves as a guiding “mother” figure, PTDF has played the role of a supportive “father” in numerous ways. From sponsoring OGTAN programs, conferences, and workshops to providing guidance as a member of the OGTAN Board, PTDF has been instrumental in our growth journey.

PTDF’s commitment to enhancing employment opportunities through skills development aligns seamlessly with our shared vision. Their ongoing initiatives, such as the human capacity development program at CSDT OMAGWA, exemplify this commitment. We are proud to collaborate with PTDF in realizing our collective goal of fostering a skilled workforce for Nigeria’s energy industry.

At OGTAN, we are resolute in our mission to elevate standards and foster expertise. Through strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts, we are poised to drive meaningful change and unlock new opportunities within the energy sector.
